Milo spun and spun and never, ever stopped. He turned every morning to grind the grain. Proudly, he ground grain the whole morning.
He never paused, not even once, at noon. By afternoon, his turning grew slightly uneven. Still he pushed on, groaning with effort.
His old joints groaned with every single turn. Worn and dizzy, his sails began creaking. He feared that stopping meant giving up.
Even the wheat stalks fell still and quiet. Even the wind rests at night too. His sails slowed, and finally came to rest.
Now Milo sleeps, and wakes up strong again.
