The Little Teacup Who Did Not Match
Dew was a small plain teacup shut behind glass with a grand set of gold china, chipped and certain she did not belong. A gentle bedtime story about a plain little cup, a cabinet full of gold, and the quiet moment small hands reached past it all for her. For every little one who feels they do not match the room around them.
Dew did not match the grand china. Every gold cup gleamed brighter than Dew. On special days, the gold cups came out.
Dew tried to shine as bright as gold. The door shut with Dew unnoticed. Behind glass, the plain cup stayed alone.
Days passed, but Dew kept her small hope. One evening, small hands opened the cabinet door. Fingers paused, noticing her small chip.
They reached past the gold for Dew. Steam curled up while Dew felt warm. The gold stayed behind glass, shining and alone.
The everyday cup was the one truly loved.
