Pippin and the Gentle Light
Everyone ran when Pippin came to say hello, until he started believing he really was the monster they all saw. A gentle bedtime story about a lonely cave, a lost little firefly, and the one thing only Pippin could do in the dark. For every little one who has ever been judged before they were known.
Everyone ran when Pippin came to say hello. Twilight settled over vines, fireflies, and purple sky. He only wanted to say a gentle hello.
Every creature scattered before he came close. Maybe I am the monster he thought. Pippin turned away and flew toward the cave.
Inside the dark, his glow lit stone. A small firefly wandered too deep and lost. Her family gathered, too scared to follow her.
Only the one they feared could enter dark. His warm glow led her home. He guided her gently back to the light.
Now they follow his light home each night.
