Arc and the Flight He Feared to Take
Arc was a boomerang so afraid he would not return that he never once let himself be thrown. A gentle bedtime story about the fear of leaving, a lost child on a wide plain, and the flight that brought everyone home. For every little one scared to take the leap.

Arc longed to fly but feared no return. Other boomerangs soared, spun, and always returned. Arc watched from red dust, wishing and afraid.
One day, a hand finally picked him up. He panicked mid-air, and crashed into the dust. So he stayed grounded, not thrown for seasons.
Seasons passed, and dust gathered around him. At dusk, a child wandered too far away. The camp searched, but the plain swallowed paths.
He trusted the throw, and curved home. Arc arced high, catching the wind at last. The lost child saw him curving and followed.
Now Arc flies far, and always comes back.
