Every book got borrowed except one. He waited on the cart, hoping. Small hands always stopped one shelf above him.
That night, the whole library filled with tents. One girl could not sleep, so she wandered. Down on the bottom shelf, she found him.
She opened him, and the night opened back. Inside him lived every star map imaginable. Under her blanket tent, the stars kept glowing.
She fell asleep smiling under paper stars. By morning, everyone wanted to borrow him too. A line formed just to hold him next.
