Lumi hid her light so none would look. Other glowworms glowed bright for everyone to see. At the meadow gathering, everyone showed their light.
Lumi let a small glow slip, then hid. Heads turned as she vanished into the grass. She crept deeper into the tall, dark grass.
In the dark, she glowed for no one. The meadow glittered with light, far from her. A tiny beetle wandered lost in the maze.
The far lights were too dim to follow. A lost beetle needed one small light. Step by step, her light led the way.
