High in the great oak, one small acorn would not let go โ€” long after all his friends had fallen and grown. A gentle bedtime story about the fear of the leap that helps you grow up, and the small brave letting-go that plants something new. For every little one afraid of what comes next.

The Acorn Who Was Afraid to Fall โ€” an animated bedtime story for kids

One small acorn refused to let go. The meadow stretched far below, dizzy and gold. One by one, his friends spun down laughing.

Nutkin loosened his hold, just a little. He froze halfway, and held on tighter. Only one small acorn remained on the branch.

All his friends had fallen, yet he stayed. Frost crept up the branch as winds came. He stared down at the ground far below.

To grow, the little acorn had to fall. This time, Nutkin chose to let go himself. He tumbled and spun through the golden air.

He let go and became a reaching tree.
