Dusk and the Falling Star — an animated bedtime story for kids

Every bird perched high and upright. But little Dusk hung upside-down. The whole world looked flipped and wrong.

He tried and tried to perch like them. He slipped and tumbled every time. Dusk felt broken and out of place.

He hung hidden inside the old oak. Above him spread the wide starry sky. Then a bright star streaked low.

Hung upside-down, Dusk saw it fall right. Dusk bravely wished to be himself. Birds heard him and gently smiled back.

Now Dusk hangs happy beneath the stars.
