Chime and the Quiet Night
Chime is afraid of the very wind that lets her sing, so she holds herself silent and still. But on the quietest, loneliest night, letting go of that fear becomes the only way to help someone she loves fall asleep. A soft story about trusting your own gift, even when it feels risky to use it. For every little one learning that being yourself is worth the trembling.

On the porch hung a little wind-chime. But Chime was afraid of the wind. The wind was what made her sing.
So she held her tubes stiff and still. One still night, a child lay awake. Outside, the porch stayed hushed and still.
The silence lay heavy on the quiet porch. Then a soft gentle breeze drifted near. Trembling, Chime let it move her at last.
A clear soft song floated through the night. It drifted through the window of the child. The wakeful child breathed slow and fell asleep.
Now Chime sings the whole porch to sleep.
