On the forest floor lived a timid mushroom. Cap startled at every rustle and shadow. His one small friend was a bright ladybug.
Then a great storm broke over the forest. Rain hammered down; the ladybug could not fly. Timid Cap trembled, but he did not run.
He stretched his cap wide against the storm. The rain pounded him, bending him near flat. Alone he held, battered and almost broken.
But under his cap, the ladybug stayed dry. The storm passed, and his friend was safe. The bravest umbrella was the smallest one.
Now many tiny creatures shelter beneath brave Cap.
