Lu and Her Own Way of Flying
Lu the small ladybug had one full wing and one small stunted wing, and no matter how hard she tried she could never flap and fly like her friends. A gentle bedtime story about tumbling down again and again, and the windy afternoon she found a way of flying that was entirely her own. For every little one who does things differently.

Lu had one big wing and one tiny. Every friend flitted easily between the flowers. Lu watched, wishing she could join them.
She tried to spread both wings wide. One wing beat strong, the other could not. She tumbled down hard, landing in a heap.
She could not flap and fly like others. Alone on her leaf, Lu felt truly grounded. A petal sailed by, never flapping once.
This time, she held both wings still. She could not flap, but she could glide. Her friends had never seen flying like this.
Her own way of flying was beautiful too.
