Penny was pressed onto a traveling letter. It would go far across the country. The huge journey frightened little Penny.
The letter slipped into the dark postbox. She tumbled through the busy sorting room. Through the sorting room she tumbled, lost.
The mail van carried her through cold night. Penny feared she would never arrive. At last she reached a snowy cottage.
A waiting grandmother opened her with joy. She read the letter to her grandchild. Penny had carried love the whole way.
Now the little robin rests on the windowsill.
