Dapple and the Sound of Thunder
Dapple was a tiny spotted fawn who bolted blind at every crack of thunder, until one storm sent him running so far he lost his mother in the dark, wet forest. A gentle bedtime story about the fear that scattered him, and the low, warm hum that taught him thunder is only the sky breathing. For every little one who is scared of loud sounds.

Thunder cracked, and Dapple bolted blind. Spring forest days were soft beside his mother. Dark clouds rolled in, and thunder rumbled low.
Another crack sent him racing through the ferns. Rain blurred everything, and his mother vanished. Alone, he shook beneath a dripping log.
Thunder boomed again through the black, wet wood. Then a low, warm hum called through rain. His mother found him, humming soft and slow.
She taught him thunder is just sky breathing. Together they walked as the storm grew quiet. Sunlight dappled the forest floor once again.
Now thunder sounds like a gentle heartbeat.
